This project is a continuation of our work from last year, where we developed an app for our product, WeCheck, a versatile weather-checker app with various features. As the group leader, I took on responsibilities such as managing the team, planning projects thoroughly, and handling the app's coding. This experience has offered valuable exposure, allowing us to navigate these challenges at a young age and learn essential skills in project leadership and app development.
The BrillyPark project addresses parking conflicts, time waste, and carbon emissions by introducing an innovative parking system. Utilising a turn-based assignment approach and incorporating features such as ground arrow lights, a disabled parking gate, buzzers for incorrect spots, and LCD screens, BrillyPark aims to enhance parking efficiency and reduce environmental impact. The accompanying mobile application adds convenience with real-time availability updates, advance reservations, and seamless payment transactions. Emphasising cybersecurity measures like user authentication and email verification ensures a secure parking experience. From the BrillyPark project, one can glean insights into innovating urban solutions, leveraging technology for efficiency, and prioritising sustainability and security in infrastructure development, providing valuable lessons in modern urban planning.
