Nuno Maldonado Tuna

Nuno Tuna is a published illustrator and designer with a 30+ years experience.

He started as a graphic designer in 1988 working for the Pharmaceutical Industry and become a contracted advertising story-boarder for 10 years at EuroRSCG Portugal (now Havas Worldwide).

In 2005, he decided that there was more to design than just graphics and got himself involved, collaborating in architectural projects (signage systems), product design (Chief Designer at a Sports equipment factory) and in jewellery design participating in a jewellery design exhibition at Designmai Berlin (One Ring Two Hundred Minds).

In 2013 was commissioned 28 illustrations as a co-author for a book about Nelson Mandela (Mandela, O Rebelde Exemplar) by Planeta Publishers (published in Portugal [3rd ed.].

Worked as a brand consultant for companies in Lisbon (Texto Principal), Porto (Worldteam/Swell Sports), London, UK (Design Provision), Boston, MA (Barcelcom USA/Ogbo Compression), New York, NY (Zebra PR), Dallas, TX (Ginja USA), and Luanda, Angola (Criacom BCC).

He is now consulting for companies in Lisbon (Pixel Decimal), a Malta-based IT HR start-up company and is a regular illustration/design contributor for two national publications while attending Lisbon University, Fine-Arts School bachelor's degree in Painting.

He is co-founder of the Portuguese Paintball Federation (FPP), Galaxia Sobrero Association (Illustrators/Writers) and Rossio DEASCE Association (civil society initiative), Óriq Art Collective and a community association (AAAFL).
