Our chapter was fortunate to have been awarded a grant from ASTEF, whose mission it is to provide funding for activities that promote educational excellence for Texas students. We utilized this gift by creating and presenting 350 Summer Literacy bags to Wylie Pre-K students.
Our school district has several campuses that have "Little Free Libraries", as a chapter we have contributed to those libraries through member donations. We hope to continue with this project.
Our chapter assisted in the collection, organization and distribution of food items benefitting the Amazing Grace Food Pantry, FOOD 4 KIDS Program. As a result, 85 Wylie Elementary students were provided with with backpacks full of food for the weekend.
