OUR MISSION:

The Bureau of Criminal Investigations, otherwise known as the Criminal Investigations Unit, is on a mission to eliminate organized crime within the state of Texas. The Bureau of Criminal Investigations is primarily responsible for investigating crimes that are out of the common scope of law enforcement, including homicides and robberies. The Bureau of Criminal Investigations takes an oath to protect members of the public by keeping information accurate, precise and confidential as outlined by State and local law.
