A career in the New South Wales Police Force is an extraordinary experience which differs greatly from any other emergency services career or civillian job. The New South Wales Police Force is highly regarded within the community for the upholding of the law, protection of civillians and safety of communities. Taking on a policing career is a big step, but a step which more and more Australians are taking. Taking on board a personal responsibility to the law, to the force and to the nation is a respectable path, and a path the NSWPF offers.
After finishing Phase 1 and 2 within the academy, officers are required to patrol 30 minutes minimum weekly. This flexible and short time expectation allows for you to put in as much, or as little (at least 30 minutes) as you can each week depending on your other commitments.
Within the New South Wales Police Force, multiple opportunities become available to recruits in gaining insightful knowledge which can be applicable within and outside of the force. Invaluable instruction during recruit/probationary phases expands your understanding of Australian Law.
By joining the New South Wales Police Force, opportunities exist within the force to excel beyond General duties including opportunities to fufil administrative corporate duties and operational duties such as Tactical Operations Unit (TOU) or the Proactive Crimes Team (PCT)/
