Amber McDonnell

Amber McDonnell was an active administrator of pathway sport for NSWCCC and the Broken Bay Diocese for over 10 years.

Amber undertook the role of Broken Bay Diocesan Representative in 2011 and was in this role until 2021 where she moved to a leadership role. During Amber’s tenure she not only convened but also managed numerous Broken Bay Athletics, Cross Country, Football and Swimming teams.

Amber was a key member of the NSWCCC Executive Committee from 2018 to 2021 and the NSWCCC Blue Awards Committee from 2014 to 2020, contributing to many initiatives in this time.

Amber always approached her interactions with all staff, parents and students in a personable and professional manner. She was always empathetic to individual’s facing challenging circumstances and made a decision accordingly.

Amber’s willingness to listen to those more experienced in certain areas than herself was a real strength of her leadership and resulted in strong decision making outcomes.

Her humour, humility and ability to advocate for our students made her a well-respected and valued colleague and friend.

Amber is a most worthy recipient of the NSWCCC Staff Service Award.
