Grace Tracey

Grace is a skilled athlete who showed an immense ability on the football field. This year Grace was selected in the NSWCCC team to compete at the NSW All Schools Carnival and was then selected into the NSW All Schools Team. At the School Sport Australia championships, Grace was a key member of the team, showing poise and ability beyond her years in both the ruck position and in the forward line. Grace was awarded the NSW Managers award for being an excellent team player and for her positive and supportive nature around her teammates. Further recognition of her excellent contribution saw Grace selected in the All Australian team at the conclusion of the championships.

As well as being an outstanding sportswoman, she is also a kind and considerate student, who has achieved many commendations for her community spirit including; participation in the College Expo, volunteering to tidy up in practical lessons and taking part in the Foley Catholic Mission activity. Grace has a generous spirit and a positive attitude which is reflective in her actions. She is a conscientious student who consistently works hard to achieve her best. Grace regularly volunteers to take new students on tours of the College and to make them feel welcome. Grace has nominated for the position of Middle School Sports Captain in 2023, where she is determined to promote participation and fun in sports at the College.

Grace is a talented all round sportswoman, having represented St Mary Star of the Sea in Netball, Basketball, Athletics, Soccer and AFL. She is a valued team player, with exceptional skills, athleticism and sportsmanship. Grace has an acute game sense and ability to read the play in offence and defence. Grace is held in high regard by both teachers and students at her college, reflecting her leadership, cooperation, organisation and mature approach to sport and her education.

Grace is a most worthy recipient of the 2022 NSWCCC Blue Award for Australian Football.
