In my short video I wanted to highlight the way that life changes so quickly, especially in the past couple years. I did this by juxtaposing a typical sight for me now (my backyard, the area around my house) with experiences that I recorded before the pandemic (the aquarium, seeing friends, etc). I layered them on top of each other to show how the memories layer on top of one another, creating a person’s experience. My goal with this video was to remind viewers to appreciate what they have in the moment, and remember not to take life for granted, because things can change very quickly. 

In my short video I have shown the theme of nature and unity. The expression “rose coloured glasses” is something people will say when they think someone is only seeing the good parts or the unrealistic view. Since my whole short film is of nature it is showing the good parts of it but there is so many imperfections to nature. Climate change is an example of the imperfections. My goal with this video is to show people the good qualities of nature and to be appreciative of it because it is not gonna be here forever. 

My stop motion video shows a turtle's adventure to eating his favourite meal, a strawberry and lettuce leaf. I created this video to make viewers giggle and smile :) The plastic turtle was gifted to me a while back and my friend and I always joked about it having no purpose! It now makes the story behind my stop motion video. I was inspired by Clem Stamation.
