Our residents have been to conferences all across the nation!
Our program provides time off and funding for trips to national conferences for any first author on a poster or project! Some residents go to many conferences every academic year.
Our department supports our residents whose research is accepted for presentation at national meetings. Every year, we proudly send residents to RSNA (Radiological Society of North America), ARRS (American Roentgen Ray Society), AUR (Association of University Radiologists) and numerous additional subspecialty meetings held across the country.
Additionally, the department sends one R2 resident each year to a weeklong Introduction to Academic Radiology course jointly sponsored by RSNA, ARRS, and AUR.
Research-related resources available to Northwell residents include dedicated research faculty, research coordinators, biostatisticians available through Northwell’s Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research, Montage (a powerful research tool that allows the user to search a decade’s-worth of radiology reports with the click of a button), and Northwell’s electronic medical library (a comprehensive suite of databases, e-journals, e-textbooks and reference services).
