The teams described below are an integral part of the ALMS program. These teams promote and foster the Core Values of the US Navy and the Navy NJROTC program by instilling the lifelong personal characteristics of Honor, Courage and Commitment. The teams provide an opportunity for development of all Cadets in solid followership and leadership roles under the coaching and guidance of the team Captains and their respective Coaches and Advisers. Color Guard
Color Guards are used for ceremonial purposes. Members include the left rifleman, the Organizational flag bearer, the American flag bearer, and the right rifleman. Each member of the Color Guard performs special movements according to their position.
The Color Guard serve as one of the JROTC's most visible entities, due to their personal commitment to the self-discipline required for drill excellence, are often requested to represent Lake Taylor High School and our unit at events that may include VIP’s and media attention.
Armed Drill Team
Computer Science/Cyber Patriot
Students complete introductory computer science laboratory to develop problem-solving abilities in real-world experiences in computer science and technology. The Cadet Cyber Patriot team competes in fully funded Cyber Security competitions with area high schools and can qualify to compete on a national level. Students have opportunities to attend university level computer science/cyber security camps.

Marksmanship/Air Rifle Team
Students receive in-depth instruction and training in the safe handling and operation in competition Olympic quality air rifle marksmanship. The Cadet marksmanship team participates in fully funded local competitions with area high schools. Individuals have several opportunities to qualify and compete on a national level.

Drone/UAV Flight Team
Students are taught basic flight aerodynamics and learn how to safely pilot aerial drones. Cadets participate in ground training and flight simulation leading to independent and safe operation of aerial drones. The Cadet Drone Squadron is fully funded, and students participate in skill-based competitions with area high schools with opportunities to qualify and compete on a national level. Students will complete the FAA unmanned aircraft systems course and become certified UAS/drone operators.
