Title Buliding Layers Monoprint and Emma Whitelock
Glue an image of Emma Whitelocks work onto your page. Select one that has a simalar colour palette to what you have been using
Gesso a small amount of tissue paper on to a section of your A3 page
Gesso some tissue paper onto a A5 Square paper. Make sure all the tissue is covered with Gesso
Make a colour swatch. Mix the colours you need for your final painting and add to your Workbook page.
Once the Gesso is dry you can use this area to practice the gestural techniques. Use a large brush. Start with soft colours and build on bolder colours after that.
On the bottom half the page - Monoprint
Your teacher will demo to you the Reductive and Additive Monoprint technique
Complete 1 of each.
Glue and example of each onto your workbook and copy the following instructions next to each.

Tape image to the back of some transparency
Using water based printing Ink paint on the image using a tracing technique
Print using the press

Ink up Plexi Plate with water based ink
Wipe away areas to create image
Use a cotton bud for details and scratch into with the end of your brush for fine lines
