In 2026 we will be using a new progression system that will enable more people to row over the course more than once.
At the start of each division, all entries in a boat class will be time-trialled over the course, with the results used to form finals within a single boat type (fastest six crews to the A final, next six to the B final etc). The winner of each event will be the highest placed crew across the various finals.
The regatta has two divisions, morning and afternoon, with no doubling up allowed within a division. Sharing of equipment within a division is at clubs' own risk.
For each boat type, we offer Championship, Club, Academic and J18/J16 events, each of which will take place within a single division.
The intention is that clubs' top crews will enter the "Championship" events and less experienced crews will enter the "Club" events.
"Academic" events are open to universities and schools.
J18 and J16 events are open to schools and clubs.
We reserve the right to move a crew to a higher band of event if their CRI is significantly above the average for the event, i.e. to upgrade Intermediate to Championship, Development to Intermediate or Championship.
