Saturday, 30 May at 3PM. My Genealogy Journey. Keith Aleckson, Lodge VP, will explore three branches of his ancestry that originated in Telemark. Keith will share how he approached his research—from early discoveries to unexpected challenges—and how those efforts ultimately shaped his 2023 heritage trip to Norway. Through stories, photographs, and research insights, he will highlight how genealogical work can deepen cultural understanding and create personal connections across generations.
Saturday, 20 June at 3PM. Clean and Glean. Alan Olson, GIG Member, will provide his knowledge and experiences on successfully finding ancestors' headstones plus their care and maintenance. TO BE RESCHEDULED.
Saturday, 25 July at 3PM. Two topics. 1) The Story of One Norwegian 'War Sailor'. Phil Eskelund, GIG Member, will share his personal insights on his father's life as a Norwegian who came to the US and fought in World War II. 2) There will be an open discussion on ideas and speakers for future GIG presentations. Come prepared!

Saturday, 19 September at 3PM. Two topics. 1) Carolyn Smith, GIG Member and Lodge Librarian. Latest update on Lodge Library's genealogical holdings. 2) Kristin Johnsen-Neshati, GIG Member, will present information on one of her emigrating ancestors: From Rennesøy to Illinois. Paulina Jorgensdatter Mehus (1868 - 1970).
