You will receive an e-mail from BI Norway with the application deadline and instructions within two weeks of your nomination. Nominations are made in late February/early March for fall participants and early October for spring participants. If you need your UIUC transcript, remember it was uploaded to the documents section of your UIUC study abroad application.
After completing your application, you will receive an email stating they have received your exchange application. In this email, you will be given more detailed information regarding your admission letter, study permit/visa information, housing, and academic dates. Once accepted, you will receive your letter of admission (by May 20 for fall participants and Oct. 20 for spring participants) which will include more detailed information regarding your visa, course registration, arrival in Oslo, orientation week, and more. You will not receive a paper copy of your admissions letter. The electronic copy you receive is the official acceptance letter.
Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0
Completed at least one year of course work at UIUC (or one semester for off-campus transfer students)
Any major may apply but business courses may be required.
Fall Semester: February 1st
If applying for both Fall and Spring options on application: February 1st
Spring Semester :
Spring only (Early Access): February 1st
Additional rounds: June 15th and September 1st
Any remaining spots for Spring programs after the February 1st deadline will be open for the June 15th deadline. If available, they will also be open for the September 1st deadline.
Note: Study abroad slots for each location are given out first in the Fall. Any remaining slots will be given in the Spring semester. If location is your top priority, we recommend applying for the Fall semester.
