SK Kampung Baharu, Muar was the first school that we got to visit after recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic. Assigned as the Facilitator, Emcee, and Preparation and Technical Crew, I managed to deliver the job successfully. Handling the primary school students during the English Camp was challenging yet satisfying as both parties benefit from it.

It was an eye-opening experience because it made me realize the true condition of our river. It was heartbreaking to see the river filled with plastics, domestic waste, and more.
With the help of my classmates, we got to clean up most of the waste near the river. It was a pure satisfaction to see the clean river and to know we did not sweat for nothing.
I was given the opportunity to serve Sekolah Kebangsaan Panchor as a volunteer to help the teachers conduct the Open Day event. I got to experience handling a big young crowd and honestly, it was a challenging job. I needed to be more understanding and lenient. Being too strict did not work on them. This was where I learnt how to engage with young crowd and it was exciting and fun!
I got to join the Pemuda Camp organized by IKRAM Johor Organization and it was an honor to participate in a big non-government organization’s program. The camp was very fun and I was of service not only to the students as a facilitator, but also to the community through the Gotong-Royong activity. We cleaned many public places around Simpang Renggam and got lots of compliments from the community. I hope by doing this kind of activity, it will inspire the community to be kinder to our environment and realize that it is our responsibility to take care of it together.
In the first semester of my foundation year, my club members of Global Community Club (GCC) organized a fund-raising event by doing a car wash activity. It was a memorable experience because we got to engage with the IIUM Kuantan community as we washed their cars and motorcycles. Besides, we also got to promote our club. It was certainly not easy to get customers and to earn money. My team hustled to attract customers and finish the job quickly. It is true that, “no pain, no gain”.
Being a volunteer as an English tutor for the PT3 students has given me experience in the teaching field. It was indeed a challenging task however, with proper module planning and coordination, it was executed successfully. The team was extremely kind and helpful hence, the task managed to be delivered effectively.
