Being the second batch to continue the foundation studies (English for International Communication, ENCOM) in IIUM Kuantan in 2018 was a great experience for me. It was my first time being hundreds of kilometers away from home. It has taught me to be independent, disciplined, and strong mentally. Plus, I also learned to mingle with new people who now are my best batchmates ever.
The secondary school experience was the best moment in my life before I entered IIUM. I can say that it was a crucial phase that shaped who I am now. I got the chance to be a prefect and peer counselor (Pembimbing Rakan Sebaya) which trained me to be a good leader with empathy. The teachers helped me to recognize my hidden talents and my friends were always in the front row, supporting me.
During my secondary school year, I also got to join the Student Exchange Program at Sekolah Menengah Sains Johor. It was an exciting yet memorable experience because I got to learn in a whole new environment and learning style. I am looking forward to join programs like this and learn more about new cultures!
The best experience when I was in primary school was being appointed as the Head of Prefects during my standard 6. Being exposed to such responsibility had shape who I was and it was a priceless experience. I learned that having good manners are the key to be a good leader and a role model for others.
