About Our Chapter

NorthWood FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) was officially chartered in November 2023, marking the beginning of a student-led organization focused on leadership, service, and career readiness in Family and Consumer Sciences. Although the chapter is relatively new, it has quickly established a strong presence within the school and the Wa-Nee community.

From the start, NorthWood FCCLA has emphasized hands-on learning and real-world experiences. Members have actively participated in competitive events, earning recognition at the State Leadership Conference with multiple gold, silver, and bronze medals, as well as qualifying for the National Leadership Conference. These accomplishments reflect the dedication of students to developing skills in leadership, communication, and career preparation.

In addition to competition, leadership development has been a central focus of the chapter. Members regularly attend district and state events such as the Fall Leadership Rally and Fall Leadership Institute, where they collaborate with peers, build leadership skills, and grow as individuals.

NorthWood FCCLA has also made a meaningful impact through service and community involvement. The chapter has catered numerous events within the Wa-Nee community, hosted bake sales and fundraisers, and participated in local events and festivals. These experiences not only support the community but also provide students with practical skills in teamwork, organization, and professionalism.

As the chapter continues to grow, NorthWood FCCLA remains committed to its mission of preparing students for family, career, and community leadership. With a strong foundation already in place, the future of NorthWood FCCLA is bright.
