2023 Race Results

Summer Sunset #1

June 13th, 2023 

Canton, NY

The first of the Summer Sunset Series 5K races was led by high school students Anthony Fiacco and Lucas Watts in 18:08 and 18:34, respectively.  Third place went to Jeff Jones clocking 19:06. 

The top three women were Sarah Lister in 22:25, Charlie Brown a second behind with a time of 22:26, and Maggie Jones third in 23:12.

The fastest milers in the one mile fun run were Aiden Rodriguez-Doyle in 6:25, Kaden Worthley in 6:31 and Owen Spriggs, running 7:27.

209 people participated, and 52 of them were new to the Summer Sunset Series! 

The second event takes place July 11th.  The one mile fun run starts at 7:15 pm, followed by the 5K cross country race at 7:30.

Registration and race start location is the J-lot at St. Lawrence University off of Park Street.   Races fall on the second Tuesday of the month. 

Runners and walkers of all abilities are welcomed.  Registration begins at 6:30 pm in the J-lot on the St. Lawrence University campus in Canton, NY. 

There is no pre-registration.  Those who complete all three races can earn a short-sleeved T-shirt.  The fee is $7.00 for the series or $3.00 for a single event. 

Please bring cash or check as we are not set up for credit cards. 

The fun run is mainly for kids, but people of all ages can participate.

Walkers may begin before 7:15. Many walkers arrive at 6:30, sign in and begin their walk.
