OUR MISSION & MODEL
Mission: The North Carolina Trauma Recovery Network (TRN) is dedicated to strengthening and supporting North Carolina by offering free Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy in response to local natural or human-caused disasters.
Our experienced team of licensed EMDR therapists will provide up to four sessions at no cost to first responders and other individuals directly impacted by recent catastrophic events.
Model: Depending on the need of the person requesting services and expertise of our EMDR therapists, we will provide up to four free sessions using the Recent Traumatic Events protocol, the Group Traumatic Events protocol (R-TEP/G-TEP), EMD, the standard EMDR eight phase protocol, the Recent Events protocol, or the Immediate Stabilization Procedure.
WHO WE SERVE
Our network of EMDR trained therapists volunteer time to provide up to 4 sessions of FREE treatment to natural and human-caused disaster Victims and First Responders in North Carolina who have been affected. All of our work with you is CONFIDENTIAL.
HOW WE RESPOND
During crises, whether natural or human-made disasters in North Carolina, we:
Mobilize our team of trained EMDR clinicians.
Offer and coordinate referrals for trauma recovery and care.
Partner with local first responders and Emergency Response Teams to provide critical support.
