Fashion Time Machine 2025 was a big success

Last week, Northavia's nomadic roots were represented through stunning outfits. During the traditional fashion show, each look reflected a historical phase in Northavia’s history. The catwalk and the designs showcased the country’s core values: tradition, freedom, and resilience. In this article, we explore how history was brought back to life through fashion.

The Fashion Time Machine took place on Saturday, October 12th. 450 guests were invited to attend the event in Northavia’s capital, Leadmund. It was a huge success, and people are still talking about it. Everyone was amazed by the outfits designed by head designer Alira Vens, who was extremely proud of the outcome.

This year’s fashion show was different from last year’s. This time, Vens wanted to show that survival can be harsh, yet beautiful. Each outfit was made of animal hides, natural fibers, and desert-resistant fabrics — for example, a coat made of sheep’s wool.
Alira Vens said: “Our country is proud of what we have achieved and what we have endured. Telling our history through fashion is a great idea for both fashion and history lovers. All we did was modernize the looks — and that’s what caught people’s attention and made it such a big success.”

As mentioned, each outfit represented a specific phase in Northavia’s history. The show started, for instance, with the clothing people wore in Aurelith — simple and dark — and ended with loose, powerful garments. The models wore them proudly, symbolizing power, independence, and freedom. All outfits can be viewed on the Fashion Time Machine website.

This show was a statement that Northavia’s future does not erase its history — it wears it proudly. Next year, another designer will return with a brand-new concept.

Feast of the seasons: family, food and fun

More and more people are starting to settle in Northavia. But we can't forget why we came to Northavia to start a new life, and why we had to, but still have to rely on our familiy.

The tradiditions of Northavia are slowly getting forgotten. People forget how to fish, how to make music but most important: why family is the most important. This year's Feast of the seaons will be, more than ever, focussed on family. Because not only 100 years ago, but up to today, family is what matters the most. When we first came to this country it was the only thing we had.

On the 20th and 21th of december, the 30th edition of Feast of the seasons will take place in Leadmund. This will be a day filled with activities like fishing, making campfires, cooking and music. But the most important: having fun and being together. Every family that booked in advance, will get a own campfire place somewhere on the gigantic field. Because of this, they can unconditionally focus on their own family and learn the traditions.

Furthermore, a 3-course menu will be cooked. Each family will start with the traditional campfire wraps with freshly caught salmon, traditionally made for eating on the go. Then, the 'firepot of love' is on the menu. This is a meal where every member of the family adds one ingredient to a big firepot, think of carrots, cellery or beef. As dessert, we end with a sweet treat: honey apples.

In conclusion, if you and your family want a day full of laughter, good food and togetherness, you are at the right address. This will be a day to remember and to relive the roots of your ancestors.

Our path, our challenge

Once a year, in the summer, we create this huge event called 'the desert endurence challenge'. The people from Northavia came a long way through mountains and deserts. To honor these people we created this event. The endurence challenge represents our freedom. This training is not for the week and asks a lot of athletic strenght. It's about discovering who you are. It is the power to find the balance between discipline, courage and community.

The hardest challenges of the desert endurence challenge are mostly the sun and the heat. You will sweat en feel like giving up, you will have the feeling that the sand shifts beneath your feeth. Only the strongest persons will get to the end and can represent what Northavia stands for. You need the ability to keep moving, it is more than a stamina.

In the DNA of a Northavian sits resilience. It is important to adapt to the sun and to the heat or other conditions. You have to listen to your surroundings and the people who walk with you. It is all about getting stronger in addition to get to the end.

Moreover, you are not alone. There is a whole community with shared struggles and shared triumph. The feeling of overcoming the challenge is something you will never forget en it's a beautiful moment you can share with others. However, you have to trust yourself. Trust on your pace, your body and your will. Push your limits, your miles and celebrate every sunrise.
