KEYSTONE CREATIVES
TRISTAN BAUMGARDNER is a British-American down-to-earth creative who looks toward the horizon of storytelling. From the mystical British Isles to the golden plains of Kenya, Baumgardner grew up discovering timeless tales where ordinary people faced extraordinary circumstances. Now studying screenwriting and directing at Biola University, Baumgardner hopes to capture the magic of famed author Robert Louis Stevenson's poem, The Land of Nod, while infusing his own personal experiences of loss and imagination to create this film. In essence, Baumgardner believes storytelling is like a map - it shows us where we have gone and where we have yet to go.
E.F. BROYLES is a bespectacled senior screenwriting major at Biola University. As a child, Broyles was always on the lookout for fairies, believing that magic was just around the corner (silly? childish? you decide). Now, nearly grown up, she is an avid seeker of beauty in the ordinary, believing that whimsy and delight can be found even in the most unexpected of places. During her time at Biola, Broyles has explored a variety of roles in both film and theatre, most recently in writing and co-directing a musical short film. Emma is excited to see the fantastical world of NOD leap off the page and come to life under the care of such a lovely crew.
ELIANA HENRY has produced over a dozen projects during her first two years studying film production, ranging from web series pilots, spec ads, and narrative shorts. Having grown up watching films by the likes of Walt Disney and Jim Henson, NOD is a dream come true for the aspiring producer to be working on.
CALLIA KOVACS is the director of photography for NOD. As a cinematography emphasis in her third year at film school, Callia brings an artistic touch that takes films from frames of light to an emotional experience.
"I am so excited to be working with such a wonderful team and to be a part of an impactful project. I’m super passionate about film and making meaningful art with amazing people!"
LIBBY SCOTT is a junior CMA major with an emphasis in production. She plans to make a career in set decoration and eventually, commercial directing. She first found her love of designing sets and set decoration when she was a child, by watching movies like Alien, Narnia, and 2001: a space Odyssey!
