Carissa is the owner of Northern Colorado Dance Fusion LLC and also runs numerous programs throughout Colorado! She has been involved in gymnastics, dance and cheerleading since she was two years old. She began taking gymnastics classes at the age of two. In kindergarten her passion for dance became apparent after losing her father. Dance was a way that she could express herself, deal with the changes in her life and make her family laugh. She would put on dance shows every night for the family after dinner. She then began taking various cheerleading and dance camps through her school and continued to practice gymnastics. She started getting serious about dance in 1997 when she began dancing at Gayton Dance Company. She danced there for several years, eventually moving to Denver Dance Starz where she became part of their competition team, dancing and performing in many different places - Las Vegas her favorite by far! In high school she decided to take a break from dancing to join the cheerleading squad. Her freshman year she was voted Team Captain and continued to cheer and tumble throughout high school. She participated in UCA and NCA Cheer and Dance Camps along with other competitions throughout high school. She was also asked to be an assistant judge for a dance competition.
After high school she began taking dance classes at Cherry Creek Dance and continued to train until she left for college. She graduated a year early from high school and continued her education by attending college in Northern Colorado. At this point in her life she began developing her own dance and cheer programs throughout Colorado. Becoming a dance instructor and owning her own studio has been a life-long dream for Carissa.
