Objective: The goal of this project was to create a thematic map that captures the causes and effects of an earthquake event in Costa Rica. In addition to showing where the earthquake occurred and what areas experienced damage, I used an inset map to give context to the seismic conditions that lead to the event. By displaying different temporal and spatial aspects of the event on the map, I was able to provide a large scope picture of the natural disaster that occurred in 2012.
