"It felt great to be back racing at Al Forsan after a while and having a blast out there. With a grid of 20, it was expected that competition would increase, meaning I had to work even harder to fight for positions. This all came down to the Final where after being out in P6 for a while, contact with another driver was enough to break my battery, leading to retiring from another Final."

"It was a decently strong day of testing considering I only had 5 sessions to get to grips with the two gears and front brakes. Both race days were also fun, full of fighting around the top 7. However, it was another unfortunate DNF in the Final when the engine seized on the second lap. But anyways it was a good learning experience back in the CRG colors surrounded by new competition."

"It was my first experience racing outside of the UAE ever and it proved to be tricky. Thankfully, my years of experience helped me become familiar with the new track fairly quickly. However getting confident with braking less and applying earlier throttle proved to be the main challenge. I had many good moments fighting during the races. Even though I was able to get up to second place at times, I wasn’t able to reach the necessary pace to stay there to the end. No regrets looking back on after a clean and incident/penalty free weekend, but ready to get back to the front next month in Dubai!"

"Overall a pretty solid weekend, with some misfortunes in the final on day 2. Both days of qualifying didn't go to plan and I ended up in P7 in both. Lots of racing in the heats kept me fighting near the top all weekend with confidence. A few close calls like being spun sideways and sent down the field did occur in the final on Saturday, but I recovered back up.
I was also fighting on Sunday through the Pre-Final where a tight race meant gaining two positions on the last lap for P3. I made another good start up to P2 off the line in the final, but it must've not meant to be because an electrical failure caused me to retire and DNF from the race.
Disappointing, but it can happen in this sport!"

"It was a weekend to learn from and look ahead from. The weekend had started off well with good pace in practice before I had electrical issues in the kart which lost me 2 full sessions. On race day qualifying wasn’t the best but I still planned to make it up in the heats. After Lap 2 where I had made up multiple positions, bad positioning in a fast corner ended up with me in the wall and out of the race. After another decent start in the pre-final I was unfortunate to be involved in a three kart incident after 2 corners and once again out. The final had another strong start, however after 8 laps I couldn’t reach good enough pace and ended up dropping down to 9th. While it wasn’t an ideal start to the season, the kart and myself live to fight another battle in just 2 weeks back in Al Ain! 🏎️💨💨💨

Archive of 2022-23 Updates
March 17th-19th: This eventful season wraps up in Al Ain with a doubleheader in the early spring high temperatures and breezy, dusty conditions.
March 5th: Back to my Alonso kart #317 for Round 6 at Al Forsan International Sports Resort! I learned how to drive here from Nacho Girona, and 4 years later I'll drive against 19 other high-caliber drivers.
February 11th-12th: I'm back at Yas Marina Circuit, but this time in a DD2! That means a 2-speed shifter kart that I took to 130kph/81mph in practice.
January 2023: Happy New Year! I'm excited to kick off this new year at Dubai Kartdrome for Round 4 on Jan 14th, 15th, and 16th. Last year it rained and a few races were cancelled. Driving while wet was good experience.
December 2022: Round 3, my first international race, is done. This was a good learning experience, but no regrets. Next is practice in Dubai and preparation for 2023. See my take on the race plus the results on the 2022-23 Racing Season page!
December 9th-10th: I'm finally racing for the first time in Muscat! My mom and I drove out almost to the Gulf of Oman. We spent 4 days here a few years back but now I'm here on business. One day of heats and a second day with a pre-final and final. Please wish me luck on Instagram! New country, new track, same focus, and same hunger...
November 2022: A promising yet heartbreaking doubleheader is in the books. Now I have a month to practice before my first international race in Muscat, Oman on Dec 9th and 10th!
October 28th-30th: Rounds 2 and 3 this weekend! I'm looking to do MUCH better in this Al Ain Raceway doubleheader.
October 8th: I am in Al Ain UAE for the first race of the season! Follow along if you're awake or check for results later
October 2022: I am super excited to FINALLY get back on the racing grid on October 9th after a long break. New season, new Fernando Alonso kart and engine, new suit, and the same hunger as always.
