A large portion of my time studying architecture has been in several design studios over the past couple of years. While the briefs may change every time, my resolve to create a design solution has always been the same. Below are some of the projects I feel best showcase where I fit into the industry well.
A proposal for sensory design, healing gardens, and student stress
I am studying therapeutic design because I want to find out how architectural planning can heal people in order to understand our relationship to space and the way in which architectural elements can play an active role in our well-being.
Universities are in need of a stepping stone to bridge the gap between general stress and wellness programs. This thesis proposal involves the creation of a healing space on an urban college campus that will work for the mental health needs of students and aid in improving campus environments.
