There are a variety of sounds you make when you are suffering from tinnitus. These sounds include:Clicking: You may hear loud clicking sounds when a muscle in or around your ear contracts. These clicking sounds may subside in a minute or two.
Humming: Unlike clicking that is due to muscular contractions, these humming sounds are of vascular origin. You may hear these sounds when you change position, like when you lie down or stand up.
Pulsating: when you suffer from any blood vessel condition like high blood pressure, tumor, or aneurysm, then you may hear heartbeat-like sounds.
Low pitched ringing: these low pest drinking sounds come with a sensation like your surroundings are moving. You may hear these ringing sounds before a vertigo attack or when you have Meniere's disease.
High pitched ringing: when you are suddenly exposed to loud noise or a blow, you may hear the high-pitched ringing sound that may subside in few hours. However, with continuous exposure to loud noises in age-related hearing loss, these high pitch ringing sounds may become persistent.
