Cristina Forn holds a degree and PhD in Psychology from the Universitat Jaume I. Her primary research focuses on the study of cognitive impairment in neurological diseases by combining neuropsychological classical test with neuroimaging tools. The main aim of her PhD was the study of the cognitive impairment in multiple sclerosis (MS) patients and the neuroplasticity mechanisms, which can reduce some functional deficits. Subsequently, she made her post-doctoral fellowship in the Neuroimaging Research Unit of San Raffaele Hospital in Milano, to increase knowledge on neuroimaging tools and the skill in using them in order to study the cognitive impairment in MS patients. At present, majority of her research has an objective on the analysis of functional and structural changes in MS patients and their relationship with the cognitive profile characteristic of this neurological disorder.
