Northridge Middle School will be HOSTING on campus!!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
$5 per car fee: Please enter campus from County Road 35 (Handicap on Northridge Drive)
PLEASE bring exact change! Handing a $5 bill or 5 ones to the ticket taker will allow parking to happen quickly and avoid long lines!
All race times are APPROXIMATE!

Race 1: Girls’ Junior Varsity 9:00
Race 2: Boys’ Junior Varsity 9:40
JV Awards Presentation 10:15
Race 3: Girls’ Varsity 10:45 (minimum 15 minutes will be allowed after JV presentation for warm-ups)
Race 4: Boys’ Varsity 11:20
Varsity Awards Presentation 12:00
Restrooms available at Orchard View Elementary (OVE) AND Northridge Middle School (Door 26)
Concessions will be available

2023 Big 11 Cross Country Conference Finals
September 23, 2023
Location: Orchard View Elementary School (OVE), 56734 Northridge Dr.
Middlebury, IN 46540
Admission/Parking:
Main entrance to Middlebury campus will be from C.R. 35. Handicap (with tag or license plate), bus and
special pass parking entrance will be at Northridge Drive across from Essen Haus. Absolutely NO entrance
from U.S. Hwy 20. There will be a $5/vehicle fee. Please refer to map for entrances and parking areas.
Bus Information:
Team buses will park in front of OVE (please use angled bus slots). Teams may unload once the bus has parked.
Buses may remain parked in front of OVE and enter via Northridge Drive (across from Essen Haus).
Car riders:
If runners are arriving by car (not riding the bus), we ask that drivers use “Handicap/Bus” entrance, drop off at
the front doors of OVE. Circle back and exit the same road.
Meet Workers Parking:
Worker parking will be included in the handicap parking lot.
Time:
Racing is set to begin promptly at 9:00am. Please arrive early enough to be able to walk the course. A map of the course is attached. PLEASE KEEP YOUR KIDS NOT RACING CLEAR OF THE FINISH LINE.
THEIR CHIP MIGHT REGISTER IN A RACE THEY ARE NOT RUNNING!
Race Details:
The event will begin with the junior varsity races followed by varsity races. Runners will
be able to walk the course prior to the posted 9:00 AM start time. At approximately 8:50, the official starter will
begin giving the pre-race instructions. The order for races is below. We will not run ahead of schedule. Runners for the next races should report to the starting line 15 minutes before their race time.

Starting Line Order (decided by random draw each year):
Concord, Jimtown, John Young, Grissom, Elkhart, Schmucker, Northwood, Discovery, Goshen, Northridge
Team Camp Area:
Team camps should be set up in the wooded area or in the median in front of OVE. Please be mindful of the roped-off areas that help designate the course.
Coach’s Packet:
Each coach should pick up their school packet (which includes race bibs with chips) from the director’s table
near the finish line. Packets will be available any time after 8:00am on race day.
Results and Awards:
Results will be announced at 10:15 and 12:10 on the playground. Copies of results will be emailed to Athletic
Directors and will also available on the timing company’s website – www.thtiming.com
Spectator viewing:
There will be roped off spectator areas to view the races from. Please respect these boundaries as we do not want spectators to get in the way of any runners.
T-shirts:
Will be available for you to purchase in person ONLY. They will be located by the front doors of the school.
Restrooms will be available for athletes, coaches, spectators, and workers at Door 3 of OVE and Door 26
of NMS
