Mission Valley Regional Occupational Program (MVROP)

Students at Newark Memorial High school have the option of having a partial academic schedule at Newark Memorial and classes with the Regional Occupation Program (ROP). Students can either attend classes at Newark Memorial and classes with the Regional Occupation Program (ROP). Information about MVROP offerings for the 2021-2022 school year can be found here.

Students can either attend classes at Newark Memorial in the mornings and ROP in the afternoon or vice versa.

Mission Valley ROP is a provider of career training for high tech, high pay and high demand fields! In existence for more than thirty-five years, MVROP has been instrumental in preparing students for successful business, medical, and technical careers. Operating under a partnership with Fremont, New Haven, and Newark Unified School Districts, over 5,000 students (adult and high school) participate each year in ROP’s exemplary educational programs.

Mission Valley’s dedicated staff, superior learning environment, and high tech equipment all contribute to the high success rate of our students. Keeping current with today’s standards is critical, and we continually seek input from business and industry representatives who serve on active advisory committees for each of our programs.

In addition, all ROP instructors bring with them experience in their field as well as certification by the California Commission on Teaching Credentialing.

For more information about how students can enroll in MVROP programs, contact Ms. Danielle Cranon at dcranon@newarkunified.org.
