Pool Key Card Information
The Association pool has an electronic Access Control System designed to monitor and control access to the pool. A key card is required to gain access to the pool area. You must pass your card in front of the card reader that is mounted to the left of the entrance gate. When access is granted, the gate is unlocked for a short amount of time to allow you to enter. This transaction is recorded in a database for reporting and tracking purposes. Only New Mark First Townhouse Association member residents in good standing with the Association will be allowed to access and use the pool during the summer season for a fee of $35.00.
The pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm daily.
After you have entered, ALL MEMBERS (you and all family members) and GUESTS must sign in, providing full names, resident's address and the time you arrived. (There is a column to check mark a guest's name.)
The Board will verify that the property account is current and in good standing before activating a key card. If there is an outstanding Association obligation, that balance will need to be paid in full before a key card is activated for use.
All resident children must have a current Release form signed by their parent(s) or guardian(s) on file, AND all resident adults must have completed and signed the Pool Pass portion of the Pool Pass Release and Registration form to have on file.
All residents must have a signed current Swimming Pool Rules on file.
All residents, if asked, shall be able to provide some type of proof of residency to the Board to assure that only members of the association are receiving pool access.
Attention non-homeowners: If you are a renter, you may be asked to show documentation of your rental or lease agreement.
Only one key card will be allowed per home and will be used from year to year.
Residents may not lend key cards to anyone.
Please store your key card in a safe place and out of the reach of children.
Do not ask others to grant you access without a card. They are not allowed to let you in and will lose pool privileges if granting access to anyone without a card.
If you choose to label your card, please use tape or a label maker rather than a Sharpie.
The members of the Board of Directors reserve the right to view a resident’s key card at any time during their pool visit. If the resident refuses or cannot produce a valid key card when requested, that resident and any family members and guests will be asked to leave the pool.
If a resident’s behavior results in their key card access being revoked, it will be revoked for the entire household assigned to that key card.
Upon moving away, please leave your key card with a Board member. It will be deactivated upon your departure and will be assigned to another family.
Existing Homeowners
In September of 2019, a new and improved Card Reading system was installed at the pool. This means that the key card you have will not work with the new system. The next time you register, you will be issued a new key card. As long as you are in good standing with the Association (your current and prior year's dues are paid in full, and no unpaid dues, penalties and/or interest balance exists), on receipt of the signed Swimming Pool Rules, the completed Pool Pass Release and Registration form, and the $35.00 fee, the card assigned to your house will be scheduled for activation for the season to allow access during the scheduled pool hours.
New Residents
For residents who have recently moved in to the New Mark First Townhouse Association and you were unable to make the date of the Pool Registration, you will need to contact the Board via email to arrange a time for your family to Register for pool use. You will need to complete the Pool Pass Release and Registration form, read and sign the Swimming Pool Rules form and pay $35.00 for key card activation. Please note this is subject to Board member availability and may take several days to complete. We appreciate your patience.
Note: The previous homeowner may have left you one (white) HID ProxCard II. The back of the key card has a 5-digit number along the side preceding a long number series. Please bring the card with you to your registration appointment. If you moved in and the previous owner did not leave you a key card, then please bring paperwork to show that the house was recently purchased with you to your scheduled Registration appointment (unless you have already been in contact with the Board upon your move-in.).
Lost or stolen Key Cards
For residents who lose their pool key card, you will be required to pay the replacement fee of $35.00 to receive a new card. Please be aware that for security and access control we will deactivate the old card number assigned to your house, so please notify us via email as soon as you become aware of the lost or missing card. Please note this is subject to Board member availability and may take several days to complete. We appreciate your patience. If the lost or missing card is found that same season the new card can be returned for a refund if it is not damaged. Remember: Only one activated key card per household at a time is permitted.

All residents and their guests must follow the Swimming Pool Rules at all times.
Please note that the enforcement and modifications of any rules and regulations are strictly determined at the discretion of the Board of Directors to manage pool activities safely and effectively.
These rules are in place for the safety and well-being of all residents. We all have a legal obligation to keep our pool well-maintained and compliant with KCMO Health Department codes and regulations. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy.
Failure to follow the pool rules may result in loss of pool privileges for a minimum of 7 days and for as long as the remainder of the pool season.
If a resident’s behavior results in their key card access being revoked, it will be revoked for the entire household assigned to that key card.
It is prohibited to engage in any illegal activity, including but not limited to, the possession of drugs or fireworks, or providing alcohol to minors.
The pool is the property of all homeowners and provides a source for recreation and enjoyment for all residents. Each homeowner has the right and responsibility to assist in the enforcement of the pool rules. If you witness any violations of the pool rules, please politely address the matter with the violator or if you don’t feel comfortable, please fill out a “Neighborhood Concerns” form.
All reported violations will be reviewed by the Board of Directors. Pool privileges may be suspended or revoked for the individual who violates the rules.
Any resident has the right to collect and retain key cards from any resident child under the age of 16, who is not accompanied by their parent or guardian.
Residents will be held financially responsible for liability and/or damage incurred to pool property by any guests they bring or caused in whole or in part by anyone of that household.
Before departing, it is your responsibility to clean up after yourself and your family. All patrons shall properly dispose of trash, lower umbrellas, and return pool furniture to the prior location.
Before exiting the gate, be sure to enter your time of departure on the sign in sheet.
You must press the Exit button to unlock the gate to allow your exit. This transaction is recorded in a database for reporting and tracking purposes.
Guests
The maximum number of guests allowed per resident dwelling is 6. All guests must sign the Register giving full name and resident’s street address. Residents and their guests must obey the Swimming Pool Rules at all times. All guests must always be accompanied by a resident. If the resident leaves, the guest must also leave.
All residents in good standing with the Association may rent the pool Monday thru Thursday from 6:00 pm–10:00 pm (excluding holidays and the evening before a holiday) for a Private Party. Weekend and Holiday rentals are not an option. Only one Pool Rental is allowed per week. When you rent the pool, the pool will be closed to other residents for the 4-hour period. The Board will notify the Association that the pool has been rented and the pool manager will hang a sign on the pool entrance gate, the morning of the Private Party, informing residents that the pool will close at 6:00 PM for a Private Party. The cost to rent the pool is a non-refundable charge of $50.00. You will also be charged a refundable security deposit in the amount of $50.00. All Swimming Pool Rules remain in effect and must be followed during Private Parties. You can view the Pool Rental Policies here.
