Call for NLCA Council Nominations!

The National Learning Communities Association (NLCA) invites nominations and self-nominations for several open leadership positions on the NLCA Council. Serving on the Council offers an opportunity to help guide the direction of the Association, support practitioners nationwide, and advance the mission of fostering meaningful, collaborative learning experiences across higher education.

Open Positions

President-Elect

A three-year leadership role, beginning as President-Elect and continuing as President and Past President. The President-Elect works closely with the President to coordinate Council activities, ensure leadership continuity, and support committees and initiatives that strengthen NLCA.

Secretary

A three-year term focused on supporting NLCA’s communication and coordination efforts. The Secretary takes and distributes meeting minutes, manages correspondence, assists with meeting logistics, and supports information sharing across the Council and membership.

At-Large Council Members (2)

Three-year terms representing faculty, staff, and administrators in the learning community field. At-Large Members contribute to committees, identify emerging needs and opportunities, and help shape NLCA’s professional development and outreach efforts.
