Graduate Student Resources

Here, you can expect to find resources that are helpful for navigating graduate student life, from working and living as a graduate student, to teaching as a Teaching Assistant, to developing professionally and personally.

In addition to resources found here, students also have access to the BIOS Graduate Students SharePoint group*. There, students can find resources and documents pertaining to MSc and PhD degrees, Teaching Assistantships, and a plethora of other helpful information relating to the BIOS graduate student experience. The NIU Department of Biological Sciences website also contains similar resources**.

**As of January 2025, the most up to date resources for graduate students are housed in the SharePoint, though older versions, similar versions, or unchanged copies of some documents may exist on the department's website.
