Dr. Nikki G. Lobczowski

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. I graduated with a Ph.D. in Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a specialization in the Learning Sciences and Psychological Studies. My research focuses on the regulation of cognition, motivation, and emotions in collaborative learning environments and designing educational technologies for K-12 STEM classrooms. More specifically, I have been examining emotional regulation strategies in a project-based learning environment, creating a theoretical model of the formation and regulation of emotions in collaborative learning, and designing technologies to support students and teachers in secondary school math contexts.
