Strengthening the idea muscle

This is an idea I picked up from 'James Altucher' who says that your brain is like a muscle and the part which you train, develops! For the same, this is the protocol I have been following - Writing 10 ideas daily.

These 10 ideas can be anything ranging from 'What are 10 uses of the spoon other than digging and picking?' to 'What are some essential things that a civilization that lives under water might need?"

The goal behind this activity is personal which is to develop creative thinking and ideation process. I would urge everyone to schedule half an hour everyday for a month and experience the wonders it creates in a month. :)

A touch of philosophy

Deep inside, few questions go around in my mind at times when sitting freely or in general as well. Questions like: Who am I?, Why are we here and where are we going? What is knowledge? What is love?

Those questions inspire me to have a bigger picture in my mind and keep thinking. I try to find answers to these questions in scientific as well as philosophical books. Sometimes they complement each other other times they disagree. But, the contradictions at an abstract level definitely help me develop my reasoning skills, abstract and critical thinking skills. It also helps me to be humble as there is so much I don't know yet.

writing

Over the past 1.5 years, I have started writing. This is one of the few aspects in my life which I do for the sake of writing. No higher benefits, no future plans. But to bring on to paper whatever I have crammed in my head. I mainly write short stories and articles, some of which get featured and some of which don't. I also keep a travel journal and write blogs on the places I go. Here is the article I had written for budgetwayfarers - a travel blogging site.

I also write tiny tales and fictional stories :)
