SESSION DESCRIPTION: How can we protect Utah’s legacy of starry night skies? This is a question being asked by communities, tribes, businesses, state agencies, federal agencies, and citizens throughout the state.
In Southeastern Utah, one group has taken a community-based, landscape-scale approach to address this question. Listen to this panel discussion to learn what night sky conservation does and doesn’t mean, to explore the value of protecting night skies from a variety of perspectives, and to learn how people, places, and policies can work together to preserve a legacy.
