The Learning Analytics tools are designed to provide teachers and students with real-time visualisation of learning progress on the AppleTree system, including social interaction, participation, and argumentation quality dimensions. Teachers and students are encouraged to apply these tools during class through the different phases.

Certain phases can be reduced based on teachers’ lesson design.
However, if the school is working on a research project with NIE, do notify the NIE research team ahead of time to prepare for the data collection.

AppleTree does not have to be on a specific device, as long as internet connection is available. However, it is recommended to have at least a screen size of an iPad or larger for easier viewing and navigation.
