The shift required balancing key goals:
Ensure no loss of historical learning content.
Redesign materials to fit Articulate 360’s interactive framework.
Train subject matter experts to use the new platform effectively.
Create courses for subjects that has no existing learning modules.
I led the migration and redesign process during our transition to Articulate 360. Granted early access to the tool, I spent two weeks learning its full capabilities before collaborating with co-trainers, team leads, and operations to identify business-critical courses. Together, we mapped project timelines, set milestones, and gathered new policy rollouts and training requests for integration.
We documented all changes to the training library, retired obsolete content, and planned the creation of new courses. All progress was logged and tracked through a shared dashboard used by both the training and operations teams to monitor course availability and updates.
Applied the PACE framework to organize tasks:
Priorities – Determined which courses were essential for business operations.
Announcements – Tracked new policies requiring training updates.
Changes – Documented revisions to existing courses and the training library.
External – Ensured new content aligned with industry standards and compliance trends.
Created checklists for content quality assurance and monitored migration milestones through a shared dashboard.
Process Overview
Week 1: Content Audit
Classified existing materials into four groups: Revise, Migrate, Create, and Remove. This streamlined the migration process and focused efforts on high-value content.
Weeks 2–3: Course Migration and Development
Set a target of 20 Articulate course migrations per week, with milestones at 10 and 15-course completions to track progress and quality. Each course was reviewed and approved by the Training Manager before upload to the Learning Library.
Week 4: Rollout and Enablement
After the four-week overhaul, facilitated training sessions to introduce employees to the new Articulate-based LMS. Collected feedback to identify knowledge gaps and guide future enhancements.
Successfully migrated and redesigned over 50 core courses and 100 supplemental courses.
Developed new learning materials to enhance course relevance.
Streamlined the training library, making it leaner, more relevant, and easier to navigate.
Enabled tracking of course completion, compliance metrics, and assessment data, helping identify skill and knowledge gaps.
Increased learner engagement through integration of gamified learning elements.
The adoption of Articulate 360 enabled us to transition many courses to self-paced formats, reducing facilitator workload while maintaining training quality. This shift not only improved efficiency but also allowed the team to focus on higher-value deliverables and continuous improvement of the learning experience.
