The Visualization and Geoscience Education Research Lab focuses on understanding how spatial thinking, analogical reasoning, and conceptual knowledge impact geoscience learning. Recent studies have also focused on how to cultivate social support and sense of belonging to promote persistence in STEM fields.

Zo defended her Ph.D. in Spring of 2021 and is now an Assistant Professor of Appplied Physical Science at Elgin Community College.
