Assignment 7: Portrait

A portrait is a painting, drawing, photograph, or engraving of a person, especially one depicting only the face or head and shoulders. It should capture something important about the subject, like their emotions, or their life.

Care

I explored two concepts for this assignment: Play and Care.

To capture Play, I photographed my father and my dog. The relationship they have is very strong; even though my father deeply cares for my dog, he let his playful side come out during the shoot, even though the original idea was to shoot him for Care.

To capture Care, I photographed my brother. My brother is my best friend. I know I can rely on him whenever I need help or just someone to talk to, and he knows he can come to me as well. By photographing him, the care I have for him is shown just by taking his picture.
