Naturally, students and teachers want to create and explore. We are wired to be curious. Unfortunately, school is not always designed to nourish that creativity. My goal is to help students grow their curiosity through writing, discussion and class activities. The best educators nourish that natural hunger we have for learning.
Reflection is the single most actionable and inexpensive strategy that will encourage creativity in teachers and students. We need to start by investing in relationships and making risk-taking a part of our culture of learning. To bring the most change in education we should encourage originality and empower our professionals to take risks and lead together.
