Project 1: Global Health Insights Dashboard
Overview: Acted as a data analyst for a global health organization using the GapminderHealth.xlsx dataset in Tableau to evaluate international health trends and life expectancy variations over time.
Key Visualisations Built:
Life Expectancy by Continent: A sorted bar chart illustrating average life expectancy for each continent based on the most recent year's data.
Life Expectancy Trend: A multi-line chart tracking average life expectancy changes over time, filtered for the top 5 countries using a Top N configuration.
Population by Gender: A percentage-of-total pie chart showing gender distribution by population, paired with an interactive single-value dropdown country filter.
Life Expectancy vs. BMI: A scatter plot mapping the relationship between body mass index and life expectancy, using color-coded continents and individual country details.
Dashboard Deployment: Combined all individual worksheets into a cohesive dashboard titled Global Health Insights and published the live project to Tableau Public.
Reflections & Applications: Explored how organizations can utilize this evidence-based demographic data to improve long-term resource allocation, support home-care systems, and effectively plan for age-related illnesses in specific regional locations.
Project 2: Spotify Rhythm Analytics
Overview: Imported the Extension_Task_SpotifyFeatures.csv dataset into Tableau Public Desktop to analyze track metadata, attributes, and popular music features.
Analytical Finding & Lessons Learned: Discovered firsthand that overloading a single visual with too many distinct measures and dimensions (such as combining track IDs, track names, tempo, and time signatures all at once) causes analytical cohesion to break down, illustrating the importance of keeping visual scopes clean and focused.
Dashboard Deployment: Published the refined analysis as an interactive project titled rhythm spotify Analytics on Tableau Public.
