Sealed Container

For our first project, we had 3 main deliverables:

• A design for a airtight container for coffee beans, requiring implementation of a Parker O-Ring
• Engineering drawing for the part that contained the sealing element
• A brief presentation for a design review

These were the criteria that I distilled and designed to:

1. Functionality: Be airtight
2. Reliability: Easy repair and reassembly, food safe
3. Volume: Hold 1.25 packs of coffee beans (1 pack is 30in³)
4. Practicality: Easily cleanable
5. Aesthetically Simple but Refined
6. Scalable to injection molding
