Kaleikaumaka Carrillo, or "Kalei," was born and raised on Oahu, Hawaii. He fondly remembers days spent immersed in forests, wrestling with waves, and chowing down at local spots. It was this surrounding of nature and a diverse set of cultures, peoples, and foods; that developed within him an intense curiosity for nature and humanity.
