"Great things are done by a series of small things put together." - Vincent Van Gogh

Welcome to my teaching portfolio. I have been a kindergarten through eighth grade art teacher at Parkview Elementary for the last two years. I received my bachelors from University of Arizona with a post-bacc from Rio Salado.

I became an art teacher because it's a class where you can challenge people of all ages to think past simple answers, express their own ideas, and create their own questions and answers. The art room is a place where "I can't" is not an option, students have the power to be their own teachers, and make their own discoveries. Art creates lifelong learners and questioners. I became a teacher because we have the power to make a difference in students lives. Teaching requires patience, enthusiasm, compassion, understanding, positivity, and perseverance; all traits I strive to bring to work on a daily basis. My goal through this page is to provide a sense of who I am as an individual and an educator, to showcase the learning I have achieved so far, and to highlight the traits that make me a passionate and efficient addition to any teacher team.
