Resilience
Resilience and being a resilient healthcare member is very important for me, my mental health and for the wellbeing of patients. It is important because it can assist me in overcoming situations like death and trauma that raise my chance of developing mental health disorders. Resilience can assist me in managing stress more skillfully which is a very crucial skill to have in nursing. Once I have resilience and can control my emotions at my workplace, I can do so much to patients without stalling.
Three strategies that I will use to build resilience is first, maintaining relationships with friends, family, and my loved one. They will give me the support and guidance I will need when I'm stressing. I will also tend to my needs by getting enough sleep, exercise, eating nutritional meals and doing things I love. Finally, I will learn from my past because everything happens for a reason and be open to change so that its easier to adapt to new things in my job.
