Equitable Patient Care
This type of care is very important because it is where you can make a patient feel welcomed and cared for no matter their physical traits. I will do my best at following my work policies while still meeting my patient's needs and wants. Giving equitable patient care is a goal that I want to accomplish working as a nursing assistant no matter what. Examples of this type of care includes:
Pediatrics: Children are very vulnerable when they cannot help themselves. I, as their nursing assistant, will monitor them at all times and make sure they are okay in the building. I will provide their needs and be their friend too so they get comfortable.
Substance Abuse: Everyone deals with life in a different way and some deal with it in a harming way. When dealing with these patients, I will establish my purpose to them that I am here to help. I will also hear their pains and struggles so they can lean on me.
Physically challenged: Losing part function of your body is really frustrating and a difficult loss. It's not easy to adapting how to live without some part of your five sense or a limb but I will give all my strength to help them with daily activities.Â
