Next Step Dance Studio Code of Conduct

Our Students:

• Work Hard and always give your best effort.

• Have fun!

• Arrive on time. Dancers who miss warm-up and stretch will have to observe class.

• Follow the studio dress code (including no showing of bottoms, tummy, or chest).

• Learn by listening, watching, and trying.

• Notify your instructor immediately if you are injured or ill.

• Do not wear ANY dance shoes out of the studio.

• Put your name on all of your belongings.

• Always clean up after yourself.

• Maintain a positive attitude.

• No exclusive social cliques. Be kind. Be friendly.

• No foul language.

• Water bottles are allowed in class with water only.

• No gum, candy, food, etc.

• Use the restroom before class.

• Attend all classes. Practice weekly at home with your BAND posts

Our Parents:

• Maintain a positive attitude.

• Give uplifting feedback to dancers.

• No foul language.

• No pets inside the building (Service animals okay).

• Drop off and pick up dancer(s) on time.

• Dancers who refuse to participate or follow the rules will be asked to sit out and may be asked to leave the class.

• All Little Steps and Steps 1 - 4 Classes are closed to parents, friends, and spectators

First Steps Parents:

• We ask that each dancer has ONE parent/guardian stay for class.

• Please do not bring multiple spectators.

• When possible, leave siblings at home.

• Minimize distractions and loud noises with siblings. No loud toys, video games, etc. Siblings must stay seated and quiet.

• Please help us create and maintain an environment where all dancers have the best possible environment to learn.
