Currency: Zloty (PLN)
In 1951 Polish-Lithuania fell into instability after the left-wing parties claimed a fraudulent election by the right-wing coalition who controlled parliament after the elections of 1952. When news of a potential civil war sprouted, French troops occupied parts of Western Poland and established the Polish Republic, before the East declared its allegiance to the Communist bloc. The West then declared a new union as the legitimate successors of the Polish state under the guiding principles of a capitalistic democracy. The Western Polish Republic is way better off than its eastern counterpart, its people generally being richer than and more educated than the easterners. Poznan is a thriving megapolis and is soon to surpass Warsaw in influence.
