Michelle is a senior who is excited to co-lead AIM! She loves chemistry and hopes to pursue medicine in the future! Outside of school, she enjoys playing the violin and piano.
Boston is a senior who uses they/them pronouns and is excited to run AIM! Boston is interested in mathematical applications of chemistry and physics in medicine. In their free time they enjoy watching Grey's Anatomy, debating on their school's debate team, and working on problem sets.
Emily is currently a senior who has been a part of AIM for 4 years and is excited to be back! She is currently interested in biomechanics and biomedical engineering and hopes to create devices that positively impact peoples’ lives. Outside of AIM, Emily is a part of the robotics team and learning the left.
Mayuri is a senior who is interested in biophysics/computational biology and community service. She has done three years of research. She enjoys playing piano, cooking, and beating her little brother in tennis.
Neena is currently a senior who is excited to lead AIM again this year! She is interested in genetic engineering and hopes to pursue biological research in the future. Outside of school, she enjoys debating on her high school's debate team, playing the piano, and learning new languages!
Wasan is a senior and returning president who looks forward to leading AIM again! She enjoys debating on her school's debate team, competing in science competitions, and writing poetry. Wasan hopes to pursue regenerative biology.
Neena is currently a junior who is excited to lead AIM again this year! She is interested in genetic engineering and hopes to pursue biological research in the future. Outside of school, she enjoys debating on her high school's debate team, playing the piano, and learning new languages!
Joyce is currently a senior at NSHS and can't wait to spend another year leading AIM and furthering its mission. Joyce enjoys playing on the golf team, working as an editor for The Lion's Roar, and volunteering. She hopes to go into STEM and medicine in the future.
Wasan is currently a junior who looks forward to leading AIM! She is interested in biomedical science and engineering and hopes to pursue STEM. She is also on the debate team and is passionate about social justice.
Josh is a senior at Newton South who is excited to lead the club this year! He is passionate about molecular biology and biochemistry. Outside of AIM, he is a violist for the Boston Youth Symphony and enjoys debating on his school’s debate team.
Returning president Maya Makarovsky is currently a senior who is excited to lead the club next year! Outside of school, Maya enjoys debating on her high school debate team and playing the piano. Maya aspires to go into neuroscience and enjoys all STEM related matters.
Gail Bulis is a senior who is excited to co-lead the club this year! In her free time Gail likes to volunteer and spend time with her friends. Gail is interested in chemistry and plans on going into medicine in the future.
Stephanie Tian is a senior at Newton South and is looking forward to leading AIM this year. Besides AIM, she enjoys performing on her school's Speech and Debate team, playing piano, and doing ceramics. She is passionate about STEM and wants to see more diversity in the field!

Co-President Emily Miao is currently a senior at Newton South High school and looks forward to lead AIM next year! With an interest in biology and chemistry, Emily aims to work in the STEM field in the future focusing on medicine. In her free time, Emily likes to play the piano and dance.
Yono Bulis is currently a senior at Newton South High School. He is excited to lead the club next year as Co-President! In addition to leading Aspirations In Medicine, Yono runs Cross Country and Track for Newton South Varsity Boys Team after school and doesn’t play the piano.
Co-President Kiran Maypole is a rising freshman in Boston University's Seven Year Liberal Arts/Medical Education Program. She will graduate from Boston University School of Medicine in 2026, but until then, she plans to pursue interests in chemistry, anthropology, and Spanish. In high school, Kiran enjoys competing in speech and debate, as well as learning how to Bollywood Dance.
Senior Ellen Deng has served as Co-President of AIM for the past two years. On top of conducting liver cancer research, she plays violin in the Boston Youth Symphony and loves to bake pastries for her friends as well as compete on the debate team. Ellen is excited to study chemistry and Global Health at Harvard College in the class of 2023.

Senait Efrem is currently a senior at the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
Maya Dennis co-founded AIM with her best friend Senait. Currently, she is a senior at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and will be graduating with Honors and a BS in Microbiology and minor in Afro-American Studies.
Maya Dennis, Class of 2017, is the founder of Aspirations in Medicine. She is currently attending UMass's Medical School B.A./M.D. program.
