VIRTUAL MOBILITY TO BARCELONA
VIRTUAL MOBILITY TO BARCELONA
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic all Erasmus + mobilities for 2020 were cancelled in the whole of Europe. Consequently, the second in-person mobility, initially scheduled for May 2020 in Barcelona, had to be cancelled as well.
The virtual mobility took place between May 3rd and 7th, 2021. The students from the three Erasmus + participating schools were able to stay in touch and communicate using the English language orally thanks to the videoconferences organized every morning, and, in writing, thanks to the documents shared online and on the TwinSpace.
Not all the schools could carry out the initially planned programs of visits due to the less favourable sanitary conditions. Therefore, the students of the Lycée Gustave Eiffel were able to discover video production techniques thanks to the intervention of a professional videographer. They then put this technical knowledge into practice in different places in Bordeaux and in their school. They also shared their experience with their Spanish and German partners during the daily videoconferences and teamwork sessions, describing in English the activities carried out and the advice given by the videographer
The students of the Reichenbach high school in Ennepetal (Germany), who were not allowed to leave their school due to the health restrictions in force, still took their part in the project by working on the English scripts of their reports and by filming in situ videos, which they shared with their comrades.
The pupils of the La Guineueta high school in Barcelona, who benefited from more favourable sanitary conditions, were able to carry out the program of visits which had been planned at the beginning: they visited Barcelona's Smart City quarter, a vertical farm, an exhibition about Mars in the museum CCCB and the Mountain Salt in Cardona. All these places were really useful to shoot their reports, which were later shared with the other partners via testimonials, photos and shared videos. Here are some pictures and an iMovie video of this amazing adventure!
